Learning By Doing: Mill House Clinic Evaluation 2019

Learning By Doing: Mill House Clinic Evaluation 2019

Last year, the Mill House was supported by the University of Canberra Foundation to develop a student-led social enterprise professional consultancy. The aim was to provide quality support to start-up social and Indigenous business while also creating meaningful Work Integrated Learning  (WIL) opportunities for tertiary students from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds.

Our pilot started in January and ran through the end of Semester 2, 2019 (July).  The detailed aims and the results of the pilot are described in the Evaluation Report below.

We believe that the Clinic offers an unparalleled ‘living laboratory’ for students from various disciplines to experience for-purpose entrepreneurship.

The Clinic continues to be an invaluable, ‘front door’ to support early- staged businesses to engage quality professional services that they would otherwise go without.

We are grateful for the support of our benefactors, our Academic partners in the UC Faculties, as well as all of the professional services firms that mentor our Student Associates, including:

Callida Indigenous Consulting
Nexia Accountants
Tailored Accountants
Mills Oakley Lawyers
