is the first Social Traders Certified Social Enterprise in Canberra. WV Technologies and its parent company the Worldview Foundation have built a holistic business model to reverse disadvantage experienced by social groups, with an initial focus on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in contract with the justice system.
The business model focuses on improving the mindset, physical health, mental health, social relationship skills and education of affected individuals while also providing real and meaningful employment and long term career pathways. It’s a program of support, nurturing, hope and personal accountability which will really make a difference to the individual and the broader community.
The Founders view business-for-a-purpose as a way of bringing equality and opportunity to those who need it most our community. Their model was developed over years research, community and market validation. In the graphic above you can see how the pieces are needed to create sustainable change and success. The Employment element (WV Technologies) in the graphic ties everything together and allows individuals gainful employment as part of their training before stepping out into the main stream workforce. WV Technologies customers include Fujitsu, Boral, Allianz and Mirvac among others and operates Nationally, with facilities in Canberra, Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Perth. The other elements are life changing programs run for individuals by the Worldview Foundation charity. Worldview Foundation is in partnership with the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet and works with the ACT Government to help make this happen.
Mill House Ventures congratulates WV Tech on its great work here in Canberra.
